  • In collaboration with DST Group, we are screening for an inhibitor that can mitigate both corrosion and microbial induced corrosion on the high strength steel HY80. To date, my work has focused on the inhibition of corrosion only. The inhibitors in question compares mixtures containing lanthanum 4-hydroxy cinnmamate and organic compounds that have demonstrated potential as a MIC inhibitor.
  • Another project analyses the corrosion resistance properties of specific components within the zinc-rich galvanised coating on steel wire, in collaboration with One Steel Wire.
  • I have a degree in Materials Engineering and my doctorate examined the inhibition mechanism of rare-earth mercaptoacetate inhibitors on the aerospace aluminium alloy, AA2024-T3.
