About Tim

Tim works with researchers to plan and develop commercial research strategies in alignment with the research priorities of the group and the Institute for Frontier Materials.

  • His role also includes identifying opportunities for major research partnerships and collaboration activities, as well as monitoring and coordinating the development of externally funded projects.
  • Tim also assists with the identification of research activities and intellectual property within the institute which are suitable for future development, in line with emerging market trends.
  • Positioning IFM and Deakin as a major player in research through developing and maintaining effective networks with government, industry and technology developers and providers.
  • Assist with the development of business arrangements and contracts between the IFM and commercial partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain effective networks with government, industry, non-government organisations and technology developers and providers to establish future successful research including commercial partnerships.
  • Establish and assist in the growth and development of new research activities and programmes such as ACID and BatTRI-Hub based on the IFM strategy and vision.
