Mind Matters

Your mind matters, and it matters a lot! A healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body for your overall wellbeing and study success.

At Deakin, we want to talk about mental health and put it at the centre of all we do. Mental health is more than just dealing with any problems you may face. A person’s mental health can range from a state of thriving – feeling good and functioning well – to suffering from various mental health conditions (or mental illness) where symptoms can impact thoughts, feelings or behaviour.

As part of our Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy, we are committed to improving your mental health through prevention, response and continuous improvement.

Mind Matters is our preventative mental health campaign aimed at encouraging participation in university life, promoting connectedness and fostering an environment that supports good mental health and wellbeing. We want to help everyone in our university community to live their happiest lives, so join us for a range of events and activites that will help you reach your personal and study goals.
