The Local Word is an exciting new two-day literary event (18–19 November) of writers workshops, panel discussions and author talks being held in Geelong. The event is a collaboration between the Geelong City Council, Deakin University and Geelong Regional Libraries which will bring our diverse local writing communities together to celebrate the creative talent of this region.
With many sessions designed for local writers, the eclectic program will also interest readers and book lovers alike, and those keen to explore the many hidden literary talents of south-western Victoria.
