New on‑campus pathology services now available at Waurn Ponds
Accessing health and wellbeing care while on campus is more convenient than ever! A new pathology collection centre is now available at the Waurn Ponds Health and Wellbeing Centre, located in Building JB.
This service, provided by Australian Clinical Labs (ACL) Pathology, will make it easier to get blood tests and other pathology done without even needing to leave your campus.
It is part of Deakin’s ongoing commitment to provide accessible, integrated, and student‑focused health services, helping to create a healthier university community now and into the future, which is a key focus of Deakin’s Strategic Plan 2030.
How it benefits you
Having pathology services right on campus means less travel, less stress, and more time to study for you.
You can see a GP and have your tests done in the same place, allowing more timely and smooth access to quality care and quicker follow‑up. This should especially be helpful during busy study times and final assessment periods or if you need pre-placement immunisations.
Opening hours
The pathology collection centre is available from 9am to 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
You can just walk into the Health and Wellbeing Centre, referrals from any pathology provider are accepted.
ACL Pathology
ACL Pathology is a trusted provider across Victoria, known for high clinical standards and patient‑centred care. The service is NATA‑accredited, with experienced staff and reliable testing that supports safe, accurate, and timely results.
