The New Colombo Plan Scholarship, an Australian Government initiative, is offering Deakin University students the opportunity to study and work across Asia. As part of your degree, you get to build your understanding of our region and establish the foundations for a rewarding global career.

Each scholarship is worth up to AUD $107,000 and provides you with endless educational, professional and personal development opportunities across 40 Indo–Pacific countries.

Deakin’s New Colombo Plan Scholars
Since 2017, 90 Deakin students have been awarded a scholarship and have travelled to countries such as Japan, Hong Kong, Fiji, Taiwan and more!

I am a 2025 NCP Japan scholar and have completed University studies at the University of Tsukuba and I am currently completing language studies in Sapporo, Hokkaido. How do I get started?

Deakin Abroad will run virtual information sessions throughout May and June. Please join us to learn more about the scholarship and the types of support available to you throughout the application process. Registration is mandatory – please register your interest. We will provide you with details on how to dial in to the virtual session at least an hour prior.
