Win big in the International Business Case Competition

Deakin Business students, are you a high achiever and skilled problem-solver? Take on the world by tackling real-life business problems as part of the Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development (IIBD) International Case Competition 2026!

Co-organised by the HKBU School of Business, Hong Kong Baptist University and Thammasat University this popular competition features top students from universities around the globe. Teams chosen for the finals will travel to Thailand in November to compete against other universities from around the globe.

The 2026 theme is ‘Ethical AI for Sustainable Business Growth’.

One team of four students from the Deakin Business School will be entered, so this is an opportunity for you to make your mark!

How it works

The team will comprise four current Deakin Business school students, who will be mentored by an academic. The timeline for the competition is:

The winning team scores US$1700 and a trophy.

Why you should enter

Over a thousand high-calibre business students from leading institutions around the world have participated in this competition, which is a unique learning platform for university students to apply their knowledge, critical thinking, and creativity to solve real-life business issues. It also provides a great opportunity for students to network with other participating teams and industry professionals from across the globe.

The Faculty of Business and Law will cover the return flights from Australia to Thailand, and the Hong Kong Baptist University will provide free accommodation from 4–7 November 2026 for each finalist team.
