Starting uni comes with a lot of decisions – and choosing a major (or even figuring out what a major is) can be one of the biggest ones.
If you’re a first-year Deakin student, we want to hear about your experience. Deakin is running a short survey about majors, and your feedback will help make study options clearer, more useful and easier to navigate for future students (including you!).
Whether you:
- already know exactly what you want to major in
- are still weighing up your options
- or haven’t really thought about it yet
your experience matters.
Why take the survey?
Majors can shape what you study, the skills you graduate with and even the kinds of careers you explore. This survey looks at:
- how aware you are of majors
- how well they’ve been explained or communicated
- how (or if!) they’ve influenced your study choices so far
- your thoughts on alternatives to traditional majors and minors.
Your responses help Deakin understand what’s working and what could be improved, especially for students starting out.
