Business School students, apply for the 2026 PropConnex case competition

Are you ready to tackle a real-world, large-scale property challenge? Are you a high achieving Deakin Business student with an aptitude for finance, property and analytics. Are you ready to show off your knowledge and critical thinking skills by analysing a case study and presenting innovative recommendations?

The competition

Widely recognised as the premier real estate case competition–PropConnex connects the brightest tertiary talent from all over Australia and New Zealand.

In a series of real world, large-scale property challenges, the competition offers students an exciting opportunity to showcase their knowledge, present directly to industry judges and connect with professionals from leading real estate investment, development and advisory firms.

Are you ready?

You must be a current Deakin Business School student with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70+. Postgraduate (Master, Grad Diploma/Cert) and undergraduate (Bachelor) students (ideally in 3rd year completing level 3 units), are welcome to apply.

You must complete the Expression of interest (EOI) by 5pm, Friday 8 May 2026 and provide:

• a response to a Prelim Case to assess your commitment and capabilities
• a 30 second video outlining why you should be selected for this competition
• an outline of 100 words or less of your expertise that could support the Deakin team.

A group of six students will be selected by a panel of academics to represent Deakin at the Australian final in Sydney. From this final, the top two Australian teams will be selected for the Global final in New York, November 2026. Note, accommodation and flights are included for the Australian and Global finals. Students cover the cost of passports, visas and incidental costs incurred in competing.
