Calling all investment traders: our Stock Pitch Competition is back for all BusLaw students!
Looking to show off your skills in financial analytics? The Deakin Business School is partnering again with the CFA Institute to run our fifth annual Deakin Stock Pitch Competition (DSPC 2026).
Apply as a team of three to five students to research a designated public company traded on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and prepare and present a report to a panel of judges.
Winning teams will be awarded cash prizes sponsored by the CFA Society of Melbourne and the DBS Finance Group.
Why join the competition?
There are many reasons to join the Stock Pitch Competition including the opportunity to make valuable industry contacts who can help with career advice and job search. To have fun, learn and meet other students!
All participating students will recieve a formal certificate and the top performing student(s) will be granted the CFA scholarship.
Outstanding performing students will be selected to represent Deakin to participate in the CFA Annual Research Challenge 2026.
How to join
The competition is open to current Deakin Faculty of Business and Law students. Join as a team of three to five students. For teams registered with less than three students – individual applicants will be added to your team where possible. Individuals welcome to apply and we will try and match you to a group.
Join by registering online or scan the QR code, by Wednesday 15 April 2026.
Cash rewards to be won
1st place = $500 sponsored by CFA Society of Melbourne
2nd place = $300 sponsored by the DBS Finance Group
3rd place = $200 sponsored by the DBS Finance Group
