Whether you vape or not, take our survey for a chance to win $50
We’re inviting Deakin students to share their thoughts and experiences in a short survey about vaping.
Whether you vape, have tried vaping before, or have never used a vape, your experiences and perspectives are important. The survey aims to better understand current student attitudes and experiences related to vaping.
The results will help Deakin better understand what students are seeing and experiencing and will inform future policies and initiatives to help keep our University community as safe and healthy as possible.
Take the survey
The survey takes around five minutes to complete and is open toall Deakin students, regardless of whether you vape or not.
The survey will remain open until 11.59pm, Thursday 23 April 2026.
Students who complete the survey can choose to enter a draw to win one of four $50 Coles Grocery gift cards. Terms and conditions apply.
Participation in the survey is anonymous and voluntary. This study has received Human Ethics Advisory Group (HEAG) approval (reference number: 2025/HE001491).
The promoter of this competition is Deakin University ABN 56 721 584 203 of 1 Gheringhap Street, Geelong VIC 3220.
Information on how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
This competition is governed by the laws in force in the state of Victoria, Australia.
The competition
The competition is free to enter and is strictly only open to current Deakin students.
Staff employed by Deakin and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.
Competition period
The competition period is from 9am AEDT Monday 23March to 11.59pm AEST Thursday 23 April 2026.
Winners will be drawn at random on Monday 4 May 2026 and names will be published in this blog.
Prizes
There will be a prize pool of four A$50 Coles Grocery e-gift cards.
The total prize pool value is A$200.
How to enter
Students must complete the online survey to enter.
Selection and notification of winner
Prize recipients will be emailed the e-gift card to their Deakin email address.
Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. Deakin’s decision is final and binding – no correspondence will be entered in to. Deakin accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
Privacy collection, use and disclosure statement
Data collection in this survey will remain anonymous and confidential. If you wish to go in the prize draw, please complete your details at the end of the survey.
Personal information provided to Deakin University by entrants will be used to notify the winner of the competition. A photograph of the winners may be published on Deakin University’s social media channels including Facebook, WordPress and Instagram and other digital channels such as the Deakin Life blog.
Deakin University complies with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014(Vic.) in its treatment of personal information. Entrants have a right to access their personal information held by the University. Requests for access to personal information are managed under the Freedom of Information Act 1982(Vic).
