Mark down these important dates for Trimester 1 2026

Are you studying in Trimester 1 (T1)? Make sure you note down the following important dates relevant to you, including timetable and census dates, end-of-unit assessment periods, and University holidays and closure dates.

Key dates for T1

Set up your timetable

Monday 2 February STAR timetable opens 10am for preference entry
Monday 9 February STAR closes at 10am for sorting of timetable preferences
Thursday 12 February STAR re-opens at 10am for timetable viewing and adjustment
Monday 23 February Unit sites become available in CloudDeakin

Fees and adding or removing units

Friday 13 March Last day to add or modify existing units to Trimester 1 enrolment both campus and online – subject to availability of places
Tuesday 31 March Census date (last day to withdraw from a unit or course without financial penalties or it appearing on your academic record)
Saturday 7 March International students – Trimester 1 fees due in full
Thursday 12 March Domestic students – Trimester 1 fees due in full
Tuesday 28 April Commonwealth Assistance Notices (eCAN) released on StudentConnect
Monday 4 May Last day to withdraw from a Trimester 1 unit with Withdrawn Late (WL) listed on academic record
Tuesday 5 May Withdrawn Fail (WN) applies for all units withdrawn from this date
Study dates and End of Unit Assessment (EoUA) period
Monday 23 February – Friday 27 February OWeek for all students
Monday 2 March Week 1 starts, teaching commences
Wednesday 4 March University closed for Holi public holiday (GIFT City only)
Monday 9 March University closed for Labour Day public holiday (excl. GIFT City)
Monday 20 April Trimester 1 end-of-unit assessment released on TimeEdit
Friday 3 April –

Easter vacation / Intra-trimester break
Friday 22 May Teaching period ends
