Major power outage scheduled for Waurn Ponds Campus this weekend
Planned power outages will occur at the Waurn Ponds Campus on Saturday 31 January, between 7am and 6pm. These outages are taking place as part of the Future Economy Precinct Enabling Infrastructure works, to facilitate future growth of the precinct.
Campus buildings impacted
The following buildings and areas will be impacted. They are also highlighted on the campus map below:
- 7am–6pm: Buildings NP and NR.
- 7–7.30am and 5.15–5.45pm: Buildings DA, DB, DD, IA, IB, KA, KC, JB, LA, LB, LC, LH, LP, LQ, LX, NA, NB, NC, ND, NI, NN, NP, NQ, and NS; Communication towers; Sporting fields.
Buildings with emergency generators will operate on generator power. Entry to the affected buildings will not be permitted for safety reasons (unless approved prior).
What you need to do
- Consider if any other equipment will be adversely affected and take the appropriate steps prior to the shutdown.
- Avoid coming to campus unless necessary.
