Enhance your research with this simple tool from the Library

Did you know the Library offers a simple tool to help you bypass paywalls and logins for critical scholarly resources online? LibKey Nomad provides instant links to content that Deakin Library subscribes to, as well as open access sources.

What is LibKey Nomad?

LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that connects you to journal articles Deakin subscribes to. Using your Deakin authentication*, you can access our journal articles wherever you are on the web. You don’t even need to be on the Library website!

LibKey Nomad works to identify Deakin-subscribed items when searching in a web browser, adding enhanced linking to popular research sites like PubMed, Wikipedia, Research Gate, SciFinder-N, UpToDate, Micromedex and more. An icon will appear when you come across an online resource that the Library has a subscription to.

You simply click the 👇 Download PDF or Article link button to access the full text.

*LibKey Nomad works securely with your Deakin username and password. Read the company’s privacy statement for more information.

Add the LibKey Nomad to your browser

Installation in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave and Vivaldi is simple! Install the browser extension from the links below, or from your browser’s extension catalogue:

Once installed, choose Deakin University Library from the list of institutions and you’re all set!
