Every year, Australia’s best student-athletes come together for one of the most exciting events on the university sporting calendar – UniSport Nationals. This multi-sport competition brings universities from across the country head-to-head in a celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and campus pride.
Alongside the UniSport Nationals, you’ll also have the chance to compete in local intervarsity events throughout the year, giving you plenty of opportunities to see how Deakin stacks up against other Victorian universities.
Whether it’s on the court, in the pool, or across the field, representative sport is where friendships are forged, rivalries ignite, and unforgettable memories are made.
Why you should step up as a Team Manager
If you love sport, leadership, and being part of something big, becoming a Team Manager of a Deakin’s UniSport Nationals team is your chance to shine. Think of it as the ultimate behind-the-scenes role where you help shape your team’s journey from trials to game day. The commitment runs from March through October, but no need to stress, training and prep depend on your sport, so it’s flexible enough to fit around your uni life.
Here’s the best part, it won’t cost you a cent. As a Team Manager, you’re volunteering your time, and DUSA has a reward program to say thanks for your effort throughout the year. Plus, while we don’t hand out certificates, we’ve got your back with mentoring and letters of support for job or scholarship applications, perfect for boosting your CV and showing off those leadership skills.
