Score yourself some used Deakin Burwood Campus office furniture for free!
After a sellout response to the Furniture Hub at Waurn Ponds Campus earlier this month, we’re excited to announce that the Hub is coming to Burwood Campus! The Furniture Hub will offer staff and students the opportunity to collect surplus furniture and office equipment to take home, giving these items a fresh start.
- When: Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 December, 2–5pm daily, or once all gone.
- Where: Basement 2 carpark, Building BC (marked in orange below)
- Recommended parking is in Car Park 1 (marked in green below)

What’s available?
Browse a range of desks, chairs, computer monitors, and other office essentials – perfect for upgrading your study or work-from-home space. You can find more information and browse items on SharePoint.
How the Hub will work
- Staff and student can choose a limited number of items for personal use.
- Show your Deakin ID card before taking items.
- All items are free, but are offered as-is (no warranties, guarantees, or returns).
- No delivery – staff will assist with loading items into your vehicle or trailer.
- No reservations or holds in advance.
- Once collected, items become your property; Deakin University accepts no liability after collection.
- Items and equipment must be taken home.
- Access is only during opening hours – no out-of-hours access.
