Run the Gold Coast Marathon in 2026: Compete for the Deakin Dragons at UniSport Nationals
The UniSport Nationals – Distance Running event will be held on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July 2026, alongside the Gold Coast Marathon. Both men’s and women’s competitions will include Half Marathon, Marathon and 10km races.

Registration
If you’re a student at Deakin University in 2026, you’re eligible to compete for the Deakin Dragons. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Deakin community in representing your university on a national stage. Registrations will be through a dual registration process. Registration opens on Tuesday 2 December 2025, 9AM AEST (QLD time) and has been flagged to sell out, so make sure you set your alarms!
Step 1: Fill out the Deakin Dragons Distance Running form.
Step 2: Register online at ASICS Gold Coast Marathon by clicking Enter.
Step 3: Fill out your university details including student number and which university you are representing. Keep your registration ID.
Step 4: Register with UniSport Australia.
Step 5: Start training and have fun doing it!
A DUSA Registration will be required closer to the event.
