Pick up some used Deakin Waurn Ponds Campus office furniture for free!
Following the success of the Reuse Store in 2024, we’re excited to announce the launch of the Furniture Hub at Waurn Ponds Campus. The Hub aims to repurpose surplus furniture and office equipment for you to take home and give a second lease on life while reducing waste.
Why the new name you ask?
Unlike the Reuse Store, everything is completely FREE!
- When: 18, 19 and 20 November, between 2pm and 6pm daily.
- Where: Building LA, (entry marked in orange below), Waurn Ponds Campus.
What’s available?
Desks, chairs, computer monitors and other office equipment and furniture – perfect for enhancing your home office or study space. You can find more information and browse items on SharePoint.
How the Hub will work
- Staff and student can choose a limited number of items for personal use.
- Show your Deakin ID card before taking items.
- All items are free, but are offered as-is (no warranties, guarantees, or returns).
- No delivery – staff will assist with loading items into your vehicle or trailer.
- No reservations or holds in advance.
- Once collected, items become your property; Deakin University accepts no liability after collection.
- Items and equipment must be taken home.
- Access is only during opening hours – no out-of-hours access.
