Are you a Deakin student who enjoys writing, learning, and helping others? Writing Mentors provide peer support to help fellow students build confidence and succeed at university.
Applications for 2026 Deakin Writing Mentors are now open! Students from all faculties are encouraged to apply.
This is a paid role ($41.93 per hour) and full training is provided – no prior experience other than being a successful undergraduate student is required.
Flexible shifts online and on-campus shifts are available (with a minimum commitment of two hours per week during the trimester)
What do Writing Mentors do?
As a Writing Mentor, you’ll:
- support students across all faculties
- help peers navigate academic expectations and study skills
- build your own communication and leadership skills in a supportive team.
