The Deakin Abroad trimester exchange application portal opens on Friday 15 August 2025, to allow you to start making plans for the experience of a lifetime.
Funding your adventure
There’s never been a better time to apply – a range of travel grants and financial support options are available to help make your study abroad dreams a reality:
- $10,000 AUD New Colombo Plan mobility grants available for select host universities in Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.
- 1 x $1500 CAD grants available for McMaster University in Canada
- OS-HELP loans are available for eligible domestic students to help cover travel expenses like flights and accommodation – find out more.
In 2025, the maximum you can borrow in a six-month period is:
- $8245 AUD for study outside Asia
- $9893 AUD for study within Asia in one of 26 eligible countries, with an additional $1314 if you will be undertaking Asian language study in preparation for study in Asia.
