Make uni easier with help from ArtsEd peer mentors

Did you know the Faculty of Arts and Education hosts its own peer mentoring program?

We know that beginning a new course and navigating the ups and downs of uni life can be overwhelming sometimes. If you’re a commencing student, the ArtsEd Peer Mentoring Program can connect you with a mentor to support you in your transition to university. ArtsEd Peer Mentors are experienced students who are further along in their degree and can provide you with personal guidance and tips to help you succeed in your course.

You are encouraged to join the program if you’re in your first year of an undergraduate or postgraduate course in the Faculty of Arts and Education.

Why should I take part?

Aside from getting inside tips on how to tackle your studies from students who have come before you, the peer mentor program connects you to a larger, invaluable support system.

‘It can be hard enough when you first start, not knowing what resources are out there for you, not knowing who to talk with about assignments. Peer mentoring sets you up with all this knowledge and more,’ said ArtsEd peer mentor Lachlan (pictured).

Peer mentoring is an empowering way for new students to connect with other peers and gain valuable insight for into university life. You get to be involved with a diverse range of people and learn insider tips and tricks essential for university.
