Why protect your number plates?
Offenders use stolen plates to avoid being identified when committing serious offences, such as petrol thefts, drug trafficking and burglary.
You can help prevent serious offences and keep your number plates safe by following a few simple steps:
- Secure your number plates with anti-theft screws
- Park your car in a secure place
- Stay alert and report theft of number plates to police as soon as possible.
