See if the CPP can help with your teaching, nursing, midwifery or social work placement costs
Are you a domestic student in a course requiring you to do mandatory placements for teaching, nursing, midwifery or social work?
From Tuesday 1 July 2025, you may be eligible for a Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) of $331.65 per week of you undertaking your placement, to help you manage related costs. The Australian Government has invested in the CPP to help you continue your studies, graduate and enter the workforce to address shortages in important fields.
Please note, these payments are not retrospective.
