Stretch, walk, win: celebrate Active April with the Vixens!
How are you travelling for Active April so far?
We hope you’re striking a balance between study sessions and staying active with our online and on-campus Active April activities, including the thrilling campus treasure hunt! Even amidst your assignments, it’s crucial to take regular breaks and keep moving for your overall wellbeing.
‘A sedentary way of living is not good for you, no matter how old you are,’ says Melbourne Vixens player and current Master of Communication student Jo Weston.
Make sure you’re taking one- to two-minute breaks every 30 minutes, whether you’re standing up, stretching or even walking to the kitchen to get a drink or snack.
And how does Jo like to stay active in between her netball and study commitments?
‘Off the court, my favourite way to stay active is probably walking my dog Billy,’ she says.
