In 2025, UniSport Nationals – Distance Running will be held in conjunction with the Gold Coast Marathon (10km, Half Marathon and Marathon events) and will be contested in both men’s and women’s competitions. The event will run from 5–6 July 2025 on the Gold Coast, QLD.

Costs
2024 Entry Fees (approximate costs for 2025)
- ASICS Gold Coast Marathon – $180
- Half Marathon – $145
- Southern Cross University 10km Run – $90
UniSport Registration – Free
All travel and accommodation are arranged and paid by the student.
Registration
If you’re a student at Deakin University in 2025, you’re eligible to race for the Deakin Dragons. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Deakin community in representing your university on a national stage.
Registration for this event will be a dual registration process, so make sure you’re ready to secure your spot when it opens at 9am on Monday, 2 December 2024. It’s been flagged to sell out quickly, so don’t delay – set your alarms and get ready to enter. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
Step 1: Fill out the Deakin Dragons Distance Running form
Step 2: Register online for the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon
Step 3: Fill out your university details including student number and which university you are representing. Keep your registration ID.
Step 4: Register online at UniSport Australia
Step 5: Start training and have fun doing it!
