Get ready to support your fellow students as the Paralympics begin in Paris!
Congratulations once again to our participating Deakin elite-athlete students and alumni who did us proud during the Olympic Games. We now look forward to cheering on our current students who will represent Australia in the green and gold when the 2024 Paralympic Games begin in Paris (28 August–8 September)!
Here are your fellow students who will be taking part in the Paralympic Games later this month.
Alex Viney – Para-rowing
Alex is currently studying a Master of Business (Sport Management) and will compete in the PR3 Mixed Cox Four event in Paris. Learn more about Alex
Liam Twomey – Para-triathlon
Currently studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, Liam will be competing in the Triathlon (PTS4) event. Learn more about Liam
Nathan Pellissier – Para-table Tennis
Nathan is currently studying a Master of Professional Accounting and Finance, and will be competing in the Men’s Singles MS8 and MT9-10 events. Learn more about Nathan
Sam McIntosh – Para-athletics
Sam is a current Bachelor of Health Sciences student and will compete in the 100m T52 event in Paris. Learn more about Sam
