Watch out for these changed traffic conditions and access closures at Burwood Campus
If you’re based at the Burwood Campus or are planning on visiting soon, there are changes you should be aware of, including changed vehicle and pedestrian access to the Bennettswood Reserve southern carpark and Burwood Highway and Highbury Road lane closures.
These adjustments are required for works as a part of the ongoing Suburban Rail Loop project.
What you need to know
Works near Bennettswood Reserve
There are works near Bennettswood Reserve which started on 18 March and will continue for up to six months.
During this time, the Bennettswood Reserve southern carpark, the southern oval car park near Entrance 1, will be closed, impacting 30 car spaces.
Burwood Highway lane closures
There will be traffic and pedestrian lane closures on Burwood Highway from Elgar Road to Holland Avenue, starting late March for up to six months.
Pedestrian detours will be available along Burwood Highway (northern footpath), within Gardiners Creek Trail.
Access to Holland Avenue will be maintained at all times.
The 75 tram service will not be impacted.
Highbury Road lane closures
There will be lane closures and pedestrian diversions on Highbury Road starting in April and continuing for up to two months.
