Boost your CV and see the world with these business and law work experience programs

Are you keen to take on the world? Broaden your cultural and professional horizons by applying for one of the four available faculty-led international programs.

Not only do these programs prepare you for employment, but you’ll get first-hand industry insights and develop your professional network. It’s also a key selling point for your resume and is a great way for you to experience the recruitment process that awaits you after graduation.

Applications for Trimester 2 faculty-led international programs are now open! All T2 programs will run intensively overseas during the trimester break. But hurry – places are capped and applications will close when all programs are at capacity. Apply early to secure your spot in a program.

Here’s what’s on offer:

WIL Undergraduate Programs: Japan and Vietnam (Undergraduate only)

If you are an undergraduate student, you are welcome to apply for both programs and indicate your preference as part of your application.

Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) WIL Program (MWL319: Undergraduate)

Facilitated by our partner Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City, students work in consulting teams of 5 with a local company. Over the 2 weeks, students will undertake a combination of project work, site visits, cultural activities and project presentations with the client.
Flights and accommodation are included in this program.

Cost: Approximately $3500 AUD. This is an NCP funded program. Eligible domestic/undergraduate students will receive a $3000 grant.

Dates: Monday 17 June – Friday 28 June 2024

Unit enrolment: This is an undergraduate program only. Successful students will be enrolled in MWL319 International Consultancy Experience for T2 2024.

Japan (Hikone) WIL Program (MWL319: Undergraduate)

Undergraduate business students are invited to join the Japan WIL program during the T1-T2 trimester break. Facilitated in Hikone by our partner Shiga University, students will have the opportunity to complete a two-week consulting project with a marketing, management and strategic business focus.

Students will travel as a group and will work in teams with a local business to address their business project or problem. You will be supported by on-ground staff in Japan and Deakin staff who will manage the program and also facilitate site visits, cultural and social activities.
Flights and accommodation are included in this program.

Cost: Approximately $4000 AUD. This is an NCP funded program. Eligible domestic/undergraduate students will receive a $3000 grant.
