The new Multideck Carpark at Waterfront Campus

16 February 2024

Need to drive to campus? Don’t go home with a parking fine!

The start of the study period is nearly here! Travelling to campus by public or active transport is a great way to start the day – but if you think you’ll need to drive to uni, make sure you know how to pay for parking ahead of time so you don’t end up with a parking fine.

Where to park on campus

All of our campuses provide multiple parking options, including accessible parking. Check out our campus maps for specific parking locations. No parking is permitted in any orange bays.

Free parking

Permit parking

All other car parking requires a paid permit between 8.30 am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Parking permits are not required for motorcycles, scooters or bicycles.

Burwood and Waurn Ponds offer a range of parking permits and payment options. Different permits apply in different areas, so please follow the signs:

Remember that holding a parking permit does not guarantee you a car park on campus.

Our new Multideck Carpark at Waterfront Campus is now open!

Positioned between Brougham Street and Smythe Street, next to Waterfront Student Accommodation, the car park has electric vehicle charging stations, a gym, a yoga studio and an activated laneway which will be used for market stalls and University and public events in future.

Save on parking this trimester!

Want to reduce travel stress, meet new friends, save money and help the planet? Try our carpooling app Liftango – an easy and free way to organise shared rides. It’s free to join and you’ll be rewarded with an easier commute.
