Find out about these exciting changes at Waterfront Campus
Deakin’s Geelong Waterfront Campus is going through some exciting changes for the new year this January and February.
Parking changes leading up to the Multideck Carpark opening
The much anticipated Multideck Carpark at Deakin’s Waterfront Campus is just days away from opening on Wednesday 17 January.
The temporary arrangement to use Busport Car Park has now ended. This means there will be reduction in available parking for a few days until the Multideck Carpark is made available. Apologies for any inconvenience this causes.
Until then, please use the general permit parking in Car Park 3 on the corner of Smythe Street and Cavendish Street or consider these other transport options available to get you to and from Waterfront Campus.
- You can park for free at Waurn Ponds Campus (Park and Go CP3), BVAC (Belmont) or Try Boys Basketball Stadium (East Geelong) and take our free Geelong intercampus bus to Waterfront Campus.
- Take public transport to train or bus to Geelong Railway Station, which is a short walk to Waterfront Campus
- Cycle or walk (or take Lime eBikes) to campus and make use of our end-of-trip facilities including lockers, showers, change rooms and bike storage when you arrive.
- Carpool with the Liftango carpooling app that matches people with similar journeys to and from Deakin campuses.
The Common café closure
In other news, Waterfront’s café, The Common, will remain closed for the month of January. This is in preparation of the exciting transition to a new service offering starting in early February.
What’s next?
You’ll hear more from us about the grand opening and operation of the new Multideck Carpark, as well as our cafe service offering soon.
