DUSA is the Deakin University Student Association – a fun, dynamic and inclusive community for all students to join, aimed at enhancing your day-to-day life at Deakin.

What is the role of DUSA at Deakin?
DUSA is directed by a board of students and exists to give all students a ‘voice’.
At DUSA, we make it our mission to provide you with a range of activities, opportunities and services that will enrich your time at Deakin. Not only are we committed to helping you succeed, we are passionate about ensuring we create opportunities throughout your student life to grow, thrive and have fun.
Why should I join or renew my DUSA membership in 2024?
- You’ll receive perks and discounts. We have a range of DUSA memberships which will provide you access to our awesome merchandise, partner discounts and member competitions, short courses, trips and tours, sporting teams, and of course, our extensive range of clubs.
- We’ll help you expand your boundaries. Whether you want to learn a new sport, gain a qualification, carve up the dance floor at one of our OWeek parties or set off on an exciting adventure across Victoria, there really is something for everyone at DUSA!
- You will receive and enable support services for all students. Student support is also fundamental to DUSA’s vision, exemplified by our Student Advocacy and Support Service, our Legal Service and our Financial Counselling service. These are completely free for all students to access.
- We’ll give you a platform to give back to your community. We encourage Deakin students to apply for positions on the Student Council, and strive to empower other students to create meaningful social and environmental change within their campus and local community.

If you started at Deakin in T3, 2023, or are joining us for T1, 2024, we want to welcome you to DUSA ODay!
You’ll spend the day in Melbourne navigating an exciting and fun program with other first-year Deakin students and leaders. We will allocate you into teams where you will compete against each other through the new indoor Monopoly Experience, as well as meet students from similar degrees through networking activities. It’s the perfect way to meet new uni friends! Tickets are limited though, so you must register to save yourself a spot.
