That’s why we’re thrilled to bring you Deakin’s Summer Program! We’ve lined up a range of community events to offer you fun experiences throughout Victoria over the holiday season. Whether you’re looking to party or keep it low-key, you’re bound to find something to delight you over the break so you can start 2024 feeling rested, inspired and with a renewed sense of purpose.
Plus, we’re also giving away tickets to the 2024 Australian Open in Melbourne to a lucky few – enter now for your chance to win!
Win one of four double passes to the Australian Open!
It doesn’t quite feel like January until you find yourself simultaneously blasting the air-con and tennis on the telly over long summer evenings. Melbourne well and truly comes alive during the Australian Open in the new year, and we want to get you there to experience the amazing vibe at Melbourne Park for yourself!
We’re giving away four double-passes to the 2024 Australian Open (on Friday 19 January 2024), valued at $138 each. These tickets are Ground Passes which will gain you and a friend access to the Australian Open entertainment precinct and the unreserved section of all courts (other than the show-courts, the Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena). Don’t delay though – entries closes at 5pm on Wednesday 13 December 2023.

The competition
The competition is free to enter and is strictly only open to current Deakin students. These students must also complete and submit an entry in the manner set out in the Terms and Conditions.
Entrants may only enter the competition once.
Staff employed by Deakin and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.
Competition period
Entries close at 5pm on Wednesday 13 December 2023.
Prizes
There will be a prize pool of 4x double Ground Passes to the Australian Open on Friday 19 January 2024. The value of a double pass is $150.
The total value of the prize pool is $600.
How to enter
Students must complete and submit the above entry form.
Selection and notification of winner
Fourwinners will be drawn at random onThursday 14 December 2023.
The winners’names will be published on the Deakin Life blogThursday 21 December 2023.
The winners will be notified via their Deakin email by 5pm Tuesday 19 December 2023.
The winners will be required to confirm their student ID number to verify they are a current Deakin student.
Winners will receive an email with an ‘Accept Tickets’ button. Follow the prompts to complete the process by clicking the ‘Accept Tickets’ button in the email and sign in to your Ticketmaster account or create a new one.
Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. Deakin’s decision is final and binding – no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
Entrants consent to Deakin using their name, image or voice for promotional purposes. Entrants agree to make themselves available for a photograph and interview in the event that theirs is the winning entry and if requested by Deakin.
The winners consent to their name and photograph being published on Deakin social media and other digital channels if requested to in any and all forms as determined by the Division of Student Life.
Privacy collection, use and disclosure statement
Personal Information provided to Deakin University by entrants will be used to notify the winner of the competition. A photograph of the winners may be published on Deakin University’s social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, WordPress and Instagram and other digital channels such as the Deakin Life blog.

Entrants have a right to access their personal information held by the University. Requests for access to personal information are managed under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic).
