Calling all writers! Enter now and you could win $2000!
Do you like to write? Whether you’re getting into writing or have spent years honing your writing skills, submit your work to the 2nd Annual Geelong Regional Libraries and Deakin University Local Word Writing Prize!
Who can enter?
Presented by Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC) and Deakin University, the competition is open to all Australian residents aged 16 and over, one entry per person.
Submissions of up to 3000 words in prose fiction or creative non-fiction are welcome!
Entries close at 5pm on Saturday 27 January 2024.
What could I win?
The winner of the prize will receive:
- a $2000 Visa debit card
- a one-hour mentoring session with a Deakin writing practitioner
- publication on GRLC’s website and announcement in GRLC’s e-newsletter.
Commended writers will receive:
- a $250 Visa debit card
- publication on GRLC’s website and announcement in GRLC’s e-newsletter.
