Find out how to access peer support and connect with fellow students at this online session
Welcome to Deakin! We’re thrilled to have you on board this trimester.
While starting university is an exciting time, we know that adjusting to the new routine can feel a little daunting at first. That’s why Deakin has peer mentors – experienced students who understand what uni life is like firsthand – to guide your transition into Deakin and help you make a great start to your studies with a range of programs.
Beyond your orientation, you can also rely on the support of specialised peer mentors who are available to help you find answers for your queries, understand your subjects and improve your academic skills.
Want to know more? Join our online session!
We’re hosting an interactive online session during Trimester 3 orientation to give you the opportunity to meet some of Deakin’s peer mentors and have your questions answered.
Our mentors will discuss their experiences studying at Deakin and the support they can provide you through our mentoring programs. Learn what it’s like to be a mentee and mentor and find out more about how you can connect with other students and access support when you need it.

Monday 6 November, 12–1pm
By attending this session, you’ll begin your studies knowing how you can connect with your fellow students and how to access the many peer support programs available as you work to achieve your study goals.
If you are unable to join us live, a recording of the session will also be made available on the UniStart site (for undergraduates) or Preparing to Succeed (for postgraduates) to watch at a time that suits you.
Enjoy your OWeek and we’ll see you soon!
