We all know how important it is to have a healthy diet. This National Nutrition Week (15–21 October), we’re here to remind you of the power of vegetables especially and encourage you to ‘try for 5’ – eating five serves of veggies each day, that is!

We’ve revamped the Nourished@Deakin website to help you eat well
Nourished@Deakin is Deakin’s online healthy eating hub and was originally created by two Bachelor of Nutrition students Chelsea and Alessia, as part of an initiative of Deakin’s Student Health Promotion Plan to enhance students’ nutrition and cooking literacy.
Packed with ideas, inspiration and step-by-step meal guides, you’re bound to find a new favourite go-to recipe to keep you and your studies humming! This National Nutrition Week, we’re relaunching the site with new recipes created by students, and in conjunction with Diabetes Australia, to bring you even more simple, cost-effective and nutritious breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack recipes to tempt your palate. The site has many exciting new features, including a feature to allow you to conveniently sort recipes by dietary requirements according to gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, containing egg and lactose-free categories.
