IT students, get ahead with a T3 internship in Vietnam, funded by a study grant of up to $3000!
Want to combine some real-life work experience with overseas travel? If you’re a student in the School of Information Technology, don’t miss this opportunity to gain experience in a corporate environment while you soak in the sights of Vietnam.
To help get you there, eligible domestic undergraduate students can apply for one of five x $3000 New Colombo Plan (NCP) grants, while there are 10 x $1000 grants available for international students!
Deakin unit fees still apply.
How it works
The four-week program runs during Trimester 3, from late October to late November. Kicking off with a week of orientation activities, you’ll enjoy visits to some of Vietnam’s historic landmarks; take some culture, language and cooking classes; and tour FPT University.
For the three-week internship component, you’ll be matched to an IT-related internship based on your skills, experience and interests. You’ll be fully supported by a company supervisor as you follow a detailed project outline, take field trips to other companies, learn from other student presentations and participate in a group closing ceremony.
Who should apply
You must be eligible to enrol in SIT306 (undergraduate) or SIT709 (postgraduate). There are only 30 spots available and applications close on Sunday 30 July.
