Are you a keen poet? Enter this competition worth $2000!
Calling all poets! Whether you’re an established poet or just developing your craft, we encourage you to enter the Local Word Poetry Prize.
Presented by Deakin and the Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC), this competition is open to all Australian residents aged 16 and over.
Submission of up to 75 lines are welcome (one entry per person) and the winner will receive:
- a prize of $2000
- a one-hour mentoring session with a Deakin writing practitioner
- publication on GRLC’s website and announcement in GRLC’s e-newsletter.
Commended writers will receive:
- a prize of $250
- publication on GRLC’s website and announcement in GRLC’s e-newsletter.
Entries are free and must be submitted by 5pm, Saturday 1 July.
