Getting to Burwood Campus by bus has just gotten easier!
Do you travel by bus to our Burwood Campus? You’ll now get there more easily with the announcement of an extra 200 bus services in Melbourne’s east.
From this Sunday 30 April:
- Route 767, which travels from Box Hill to Southland via Deakin, will run every 20 minutes on weekdays. Services on the weekend will also start earlier and finish later.
- Route 733, which travels between Box Hill and Monash University, stopping in Burwood East, will now run every 15 minutes during the day on weekdays and every 40 minutes on Sundays.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Iain Martin says the announcement is great news for the Deakin community:
Over many years, Deakin has played a strong advocacy role in this process on behalf of our staff and students, which is now coming to fruition. The additional bus services help to widen access to university study by providing an accessible, convenient and low-cost transport option for staff and students in the Box Hill area and surrounds.
This is the first phase of bus upgrades for the area, with the next phase expected later this year.
