The 6th Geelong Pride Film Festival (GPFF) is here! Now one of the largest regional LGBTIQA+ film festivals in Australia, the 2023 event will showcase 10 feature films and five collections of short films.

From Thursday 20 to Sunday 30 April, the festival will present a series of cinema screenings at the Pivotonian Cinema, Village Geelong and Platform Arts. Online streaming options will be available from Sunday 30 April to Sunday 14 May. Check out the full program.

The GPFF is an annual non-profit, community-run festival that screens contemporary and classic LGBTIQA+ themed films in Geelong. GPFF also supports local filmmakers through prizes and commissions.

Highlights for 2023 include the camp classic Best in Show, a documentary on ground-breaking scholar and cultural anthropologist Esther Newton and gripping drama Where Butterflies Don’t Fly.
