Upcoming disruptions to train travel between Geelong and Melbourne
If you catch the V/Line train between Geelong and Melbourne for study, work or other reasons, you need to know about some upcoming disruptions to the Geelong line.
The following planned works will mean your journey could take up to an hour longer each way:
Tuesday 11 to Friday 21 April
Trains will run between Waurn Ponds and Wyndham Vale. Shuttle buses will operate between Wyndham Vale and Werribee, with passengers able to catch a metro train between Werribee and Southern Cross.
Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 April
Buses replace trains for the entire journey between Southern Cross and Waurn Ponds. Coach replacement services will operate but will not stop at Footscray.
Monday 24 April to Wednesday 3 May
Buses will replace trains between Wyndham Vale and Waurn Ponds, with trains to run between Southern Cross and Wyndham Vale.
