We offer our support to those affected by the devastating earthquake in Türkiye and Syria

Deakin is a global family, and we’re deeply saddened to hear about the catastrophic effects of the recent earthquake in Türkiye and northern Syria. The magnitude 7.8 quake, which struck at 4.17am local time near the Turkish city of Gaziantep, was one of the most powerful quakes in the region in a century. It was followed by a second large quake measuring magnitude 7.7, which struck north-east of Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye.

Our thoughts and concerns are with any affected students located both in Australia and Türkiye or Syria, as well as their families. If you need any support during this extremely challenging time, please reach out by accessing the following services and resources.
