As we kick off February we’re still blessed with beautiful summer weather and it’s the perfect time to enjoy our great outdoors. But if you’re feeling a little rusty from an indulgent holiday season or could use some help reaching a specific fitness goal, the team at DeakinACTIVE are here to help!

Choose your February challenge
We have two great fitness challenges to get you revved up this month! Join us via the DeakinMOVES app.
- Move It Your Way Challenge: Get MOVEing to collect 20,000 MOVES for the month. Up your tally by tracking your walking and running outdoors, and get even more MOVES by attending our group fitness classes and daily workouts on the app! Everyone who complete 20,000 MOVES goes in the running to win a one-month FREE membership.
- Fit for February Challenge: It’s always better working out with a mate! Everyone who attends eight group fitness classes in February goes in the running to win one free 30-minute personal training session.

Group fitness classes are back!
Need some extra motivation to get moving? Join one of our group fitness classes! Our small group classes at Burwood and Waurn Ponds provide personalised training with a fun and social environment to help you get the most out of your workouts.
We have a variety of group fitness classes on offer – morning, lunchtime and evening classes – so you’re sure to find something to suit you. Check out what classes are scheduled on your campus via the DeakinMOVES app (remember to select your correct campus location) or on the DeakinACTIVE website.

Get exam-ready with our free wellbeing sessions
Remember we are still running free online wellbeing classes, so take some time out to stretch your body and relax your mind in between your study sessions with the following classes each week!
- Mondays: Yoga at 12.15–1pm. Register now
- Tuesdays: Meditation at 10.15–10.30am. Register now
- Wednesdays: Pilates at 12.15–1pm. Register now
- Thursdays: Meditation at 10.15–10.30am. Register now
Do you know about our all-abilities Safe Spaces?
Be fearless. Be proud. Be accessible. Come and join the DeakinACTIVE Safe Space program! Every Wednesday from 7am–10am*, DeakinACTIVE invites people of all genders, abilities and identities to join the Deakin Fearless movement and train at any of our in-campus health facilities at no cost – and with no obligations.
If you have any kind of physical, sensory or mental disability, or are from the LGBQTIA+ community, we encourage you to come and work out with us. Lights will be dimmed and the music low for a welcoming sensory environment for everyone. The main aim is to get you all moving in a safe and welcoming environment and feeling comfortable to do so!
