Here at Deakin, we are proud of our diversity and strive to make everyone in our University community feel welcome.
Our annual Fusion Festival, held each year during Harmony Week, is a vibrant, colourful celebration where we recognise and honour our impressive mix of cultural backgrounds through fabulous food, fun and festivities!
Join us on campus from Monday 20–Thursday 23 March as we share and enjoy elements of our multiculturalism through storytelling, music, dance, arts, and the many other surprising ways that make our differences special.
- Burwood Campus: Tuesday 21 March, 12–2pm (Harmony Day)
- Waterfront Campus: Wednesday 22 March, 12–2pm
- Waurn Ponds Campus: Monday 20 March, 12–2pm
- Warrnambool Campus: Thursday 23 March, 4–6pm.
Want to perform at Fusion Festival?
We will be showcasing a variety of culturally diverse musical and dance performances on a main stage at each campus during Fusion Festival. If you would like to perform as an individual or a group, submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) form today! To complete your submission, you will also be required to upload a short sample video of your performance.
We are also offering students MC (Master of Ceremonies) roles at these events, so if you’re interested in polishing your public speaking skills, we encourage you to apply via the EOI form below.
