Your guide to T3, 2022 exams: how to sit your exams from home and where to go for help

The Trimester 3 final assessment period is getting closer – exams run from Thursday 9 to Friday 17 February. Make sure you’ve ticked off all the important pre-exam tasks – from checking your exam timetable and unit sites to confirming your time zone.

With most exams and final assessments delivered through your CloudDeakin unit site, now’s the time to ensure you understand how to sit your exam from home.

How special consideration works

Special consideration is intended to help you deal with short-term or unexpected setbacks like medical problems or other personal hardships. You’ll need to provide documentary evidence such as a medical certificate and/or statutory declaration – but conditions apply.

Technology issues aren’t normally grounds for special consideration where the full allotment of exam time (exam duration plus reading and technical support time) has been provided – unless your technical difficulties cannot be resolved in the time available for you to complete the task.

As soon as you experience any technology issues, contact the IT Service Desk. If your technical difficulties can’t be resolved in the time available for you to complete the assessment task, you must include the IT Help support ticket number when you apply for special consideration.

For all exams, you’ll need to apply for special consideration via StudentConnect no later than three working days after the due date of your final online exam. Visit the Special consideration webpage for full details on how to apply for this trimester.

We’re here to help!
