We’re now seeking Student Experience Officers for paid positions in 2023. There’s eight roles available and it’s a great opportunity to contribute to your Deakin community, make new friends and enhance your CV!
What does the Student Experience Officer role involve?
Student Experience Officers will work with the Student Services team using a ‘Students as Partners’ approach.
In this role, you will provide logistical and administrative support for online and/or on-campus events and programs, engage with your peers, and build your leadership and communication skills – all while sharing your knowledge of Deakin with other students.
The role comprises paid casual work (at a HEW 3 level). Please note such casual work opportunities fluctuate and will peak during the University’s key intake periods, and you may be occasionally required to work during evening or weekend events.
Am I eligible?
To apply, you must be a current Deakin student who has completed at minimum of six units of study (with at least a credit average) and have a minimum of two trimesters still to complete.
We’re seeking applicants from all backgrounds and study modes who are enthusiastic, approachable, motivated and reliable, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll also have good knowledge of Deakin’s campuses and services.
The role will commence in February 2023, with the offer of 50 hours of work in Trimester 1, 2023.
You’ll be required to complete a training module before you commence, and a current Working with Children Check and National Police Record Check is essential.
