International students: check and update your contact details now
Have you recently checked your contact details are up to date?
Many international students have outdated contact details and emergency contact details. In order to stay compliant with the conditions of your visa, you are required to notify Deakin within seven days of a change to your mobile number, personal email address and/or emergency contact.
Check and update your contact details now
Your details can be updated on StudentConnect. Look under the ‘personal details’ section on the left-hand menu and choose ‘Update your address’.
If you intend to go overseas/home during holidays, it is important that you change your postal address to your overseas address. When you return to Australia, you will need to update your address again to reflect your Australian address. This is to make sure that any important correspondence sent by Deakin reaches you.
Do you need to provide us your USI?
If you are a current on-shore international student set to graduate in 2023 or beyond, you are required to provide Deakin with your verified Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Your USI is your individual education number for life with the Australian Government. You will need a USI to be eligible to graduate and receive your award. You don’t need a USI if you’re an international student based overseas.
Please be aware that failing to provide us with your USI by Friday 16 December 2022 will compromise your enrolment and ability to graduate. Learn more about how you can provide Deakin with your USI.
