Show your colours and celebrate inclusiveness at DUSA’s Pride Week
DUSA’s Pride Week is here and it’s the perfect reason to bring out your most colourful attire!
From Monday 4–Friday 8 April 2022, Pride Week will be lighting up Deakin’s campuses in a rainbow to celebrate inclusiveness and acceptance of the LGBTIQ+ community.
Colourful celebrations aside, Pride Week symbolises so much more than good times – it represents hope, strength, unity and, most importantly, raising awareness about issues that still affect people in the LGBTIQ+ community on a daily basis. It is about standing up for equality on all Deakin campuses, and sending a powerful message to all students and the LGBTIQ+ community that our LGBTQ+ peers are welcome and encouraged to be themselves on campus and in the wider community.
So come along to one of our events during Pride Week and show your support for our LGBTIQ+ community!
