Make a difference at Deakin for all students: apply to become a Student Partner Advisor!

Got any ideas on how Deakin could make uni life better in 2022? If you’re interested in working with staff to improve the student experience for both you and your peers, we want to hear from you!

Deakin is currently recruiting students to serve as Student Partner Advisors on the University’s partnership groups which relate to specific schools or faculties, or particular topics or challenges facing the University.

As part of this role, you will be expected to meet with your peers and staff two to six times in 2022 (from April–December) to provide feedback, guidance, and ideas on how Deakin can better support students. All meetings will take place online.

Why should I become a Student Partner Advisor?

Within the program, you’ll receive formal leadership training as well as ongoing professional development throughout the year (a great look on your CV!). It’s also a wonderful opportunity to connect with your peers, make new friends and have your voice heard by the University.

Sounds interesting! How can I apply?

If you are studying at the Bachelor, Master or PhD level and you’re keen to become a 2022 Student Partner Advisor, visit UniHub for more information and to submit your application. Don’t wait too long, though – applications close on 1 April 2022.
