A new way to travel to campus: Park and Go has now launched at Waurn Ponds

The Waurn Ponds Campus is now officially home to a new transport option for all students and staff, where you can park your car for free and finish the last leg of your journey by riding, walking, or catching the Intercampus Bus.

The new ‘Park and Go’ area now occupies a section of Car Park 3. Blue bays (pictured) and signage will clearly identify the Park and Go area where parking permits are not required – make sure you look for these before you park as parking permits are required outside of the Park and Go area in Car Park 3!

Sustainability is embedded within Deakin as one of our values, and it is our responsibility to reduce our impact as best we can. Reducing our transport emissions is a key pillar within Deakin’s sustainability commitments. By 2030, we are committed to ensuring that most students and staff with available sustainable transport options use these to get to Deakin.

Park and Go is designed to make this easier for you, and we hope you can make the most of the affordable and more sustainable way to travel.

More information is available on the Get to Deakin webpage, including contact details for the transport team. You can also view the Waurn Ponds car parks on the campus map.

Did you know the Waterfront Express shuttle bus service is now back? In addition to the Intercampus Bus service, we are pleased to announce the Waterfront Express bus service has resumed this month! Read more about Deakin’s free Geelong shuttle buses in our recent Deakin Life blog.
