Are you a new first-year student at Deakin*? Or are you continuing your studies this year but missed out on an orientation experience due to COVID restrictions? Your Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) is here to help you settle into uni life in 2022 with plenty of social opportunities and fun!
While OWeek energises our campuses at the start of each trimester, DUSA is also hosting exciting weekend orientation experiences to get you meeting and mingling with new pals before you begin Trimester 1. Join us for DUSA O-Camp and E-Camp to kick off your 2022 university experience with awesome memories and spend quality time forging new friendships with your soon-to-be classmates! Plus, if you’re able to join us for both camps, you’ll receive discount vouchers for each event.
Start the year strong at DUSA O-Camp!
Join us to embark on The Summit Challenge with other first-year and senior Deakin students as we tackle 34 obstacles over 5km! Work with your teams to slip, slide, duck and weave through this exciting course in friendly competition against your new classmates. We will also be holding our ever-popular colour powder fight and glow party! Register today to meet new friends and get moving before you start your studies for the year.

Embark on an inner-city adventure with DUSA E-Camp
Your DUSA E-Camp weekend adventure will begin online on the Friday where you will meet your fellow students and enjoy a light-hearted afternoon full of games, activities and trivia hosted by Deakin student leaders.
Then, on Saturday, you will make your way into Melbourne’s CBD to continue the fun! Working together against other teams, you and your crew will set off for a day of exciting inner-city adventures as you devise strategies to take home the title of the Amazing Race, before debriefing and enjoying a relaxing movie night under the stars.
On Sunday, you’ll then jump back online for more laughs and to meet student leaders from similar courses, who will help you get ready to embark on uni life in Trimester 1!
